There are a total of 55 photovoltaic rooftops, including highlights such as the Pèrgola del Fòrum, the Barcelona City Hall, the Nou Mercat dels Encants, or the Umbracle de Glòries.
The company had already provided this service between 2013 and 2019.
The contract is for one year, renewable, and the total power capacity is 1.58 MW. Furthermore, the project includes such iconic and unique rooftops in the city as the Pèrgola del Fòrum, the Barcelona City Hall, the Nou Mercat dels Encants, or the Umbracle de Glòries, among many others. Additionally, some of the installations feature batteries that allow for consumption when there is no sunlight or when energy is more expensive.
The tender was presented by TERSA, a public company specializing in the management of environmental services related to the circular economy operating in the Barcelona metropolitan area. Through their activity, they provide solutions for waste management and the generation and marketing of renewable energy, promoting citizen commitment to their environment.

Currently, Alterna Energía maintains a total of 125 MW in Spain, of which 8 MW are located in Catalonia.
