Alterna Energía Carries Out Two Photovoltaic Projects for Ferrocentro and Galvanissa in El Salvador

The installations of the two photovoltaic projects will enable the reduction of CO2 emissions by more than 292,630 tons annually.

The two new plants, located in San Salvador and San Juan Opico, have a combined capacity of 1,426.8 kWp.

 

Alterna Energía, a company specializing in self-consumption photovoltaic solutions for businesses, has completed the construction of two photovoltaic plants in El Salvador for Ferrocentro and Galvanissa.

The plant for Ferrocentro, a company dedicated to the commercialization of home and office furniture, is located in San Salvador and has a capacity of 98.4 kWp / 90 kWac. It consists of a total of 240 JA410 modules and generates an annual energy of 152 MWh.

On the other hand, the plant for Galvanissa, a company dedicated to iron and roofing, located in San Juan Opico, has a capacity of 1,328.4 kWp / 990 kWac. It consists of 3,240 JA410W modules and generates an annual energy of 2,099 MWh.

These two plants will prevent more than 292,630 tons of CO2 each year.

In addition to the plants in El Salvador, Alterna Energía is also present in Costa Rica and Mexico and intends to continue growing in Latin American territory.

At each of the plants, the company has a team of local technicians responsible for preventive maintenance, supervision, and cleaning of the solar panels and other components of the installation. Meanwhile, operation and monitoring are carried out from Alterna Energía’s Control Center in Barcelona, which manages all of the company’s photovoltaic projects nationally and internationally.
